Springfling in Salem 2010 : This was a 5 Star event in Salem at the Old Towne Hall this last Saturday night. Everyone had a blast! Great food, great drink, and great music! The place was packed! meditationgroup 2010 : These shots were taken at The Cat, The Crow, and the Crown in Salem Mass on Thursday 4/8/2010. This is an absolutely stunningly beautiful shoppe owned and operated by Laurie Cabot. The group photographed is a meditation group that meets once a week at the shoppe. They promote healing, peace, and sanctuary through the ancient art of meditation by going into the Alpha state of mind. Many thanks to Laurie and all the ladies of the group for allowing me to photograph an event that is rarely (if ever) photographed. You are all an inspiration to the entire human race. :)

Veil work by Zahira-Zahura : Wowie Zowie! This shoot was one of the most incredible veil-work shoots I've ever done. I think when you see the gallery upon completion you will all agree!!!!! With just a FLICK OF WRIST AND A FINGER TWIST the veil came to life...and others made their appearances as well. Enlarge each one in order to see just how spectacular these shots really are. I will be adding to this gallery so check back periodically for the remaining shots! Lots of shoots and shows coming this summer...hope to see you soon! :)

provincetown : My son treated me to a fabulous vacation to Provincetown for my birthday. We traveled the whole way by ferry, one from Salem, another from Boston straight to P-town. We had an absolutely marvelous time! William made reservations for us in the Captain's Suite at the Black Pearl Inn, a true gingerbread house. It was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Ptown is like a place that only exhists in your mind, the houses manicured and gardens galore. There's enough jewelry stores to supply the country, alot of art galleries, and various other shoppes. We did not have time to catch any of the drag shows (regretably), there were numerous ones going on. We dined on delicious seafood every single night (we are both vegetarians, but with millions of barrels of oil leaking each day we figured this might be the last opportunity to have seafood safely). Had A BLAST!!! Many, many thanks to my darling son for such a wonderful Birthday!

Hyetti : This is our beloved Hyetti. I have never been moved to tears (except for ballet dancers...of course) when a dancer begins performing, until I had the honor of photographing Ms. Hyetti. I was filled with sweet emotion and could hardly continue shooting when we first began. What a lovely lady and a lovely experience. She is known for her hands throughout the belly dance world and in these photos you can surely see why. :)

Laurie Cabot : I was so honored to be asked by Laurie to photograph/document her birthday celebration which occurred on March 5, 2011. A dear friend of hers, Alex Westerhoff of Westerhoff Antiques, hosts the grand event at his beautiful home in Manchester By the Sea, Ma., annually. The event was formal and began in the early evening. The house is unique and perfect for parties, but for a photographer - it was a bit of a challenge as the main ball room is white, white, white and there is cathedral size glass windows on both sides of the room. I could not use the Lumadyne flash (used for weddings) or the hot shoe flash unit as they blasted out every shot...even at -50. So, the built in flash had to do, and it did. Photogs will shoot for hours sometimes trying to catch that one (and hopefully more) shot that reflects emotions and moments when the subject is unaware of being shot. I did catch a few of those shots! Brian Miller, Cyber Wizard of The Mystic Women of Salem project, accompanied me to the event. Originally, he was to be shooting black and white film...but, at the last hour when changing batteries and preparing the equipment we discovered the film advance lever on the b/w camera was broken, hence no b/w film shots. However, his assistance became invaluable to me during the event! You could FEEL the love and good vibes the minute you walked into the house, it was thick and so pleasant. After hours of Hard Shooting we left the event exhausted, satisfied, and relieved (glad there were no technical problems). The following photos are a result of our efforts. Enjoy! :}

Penny Cabot : Princess Penny Cabot is the daughter of the Queen of Witches - Laurie Cabot, hence my referral to her as "Princess". Her photo shoot turned out to be amazing! At the time I was very concerned because Penny was not feeling well for most of the shoot. However, as I continue to process her photos, I am amazed that she was able to push through...but, she does have modeling experience and believe me it showed. Penny is now running "The Official Witch Shoppe" in Salem, Ma ...formerly, The Cat, The Crow, and The Crown on Pickering Wharf. The Mystic Women of Salem (MWS) Team is absolutely thrilled to have her as a featured woman in the book. I will be doing another shoot with Penny when her Mom, Laurie, comes to the studio for her shoot. Laurie is also a MWS woman and after her shoot I will be shooting Penny and her Mother together...I will be using my unique heavy air brushing technique and it will be printed on canvas for that "oil painting" look. I am VERY excited about it and only wish that I had done a portrait of myself and my Mom...it is too late now, but it's NOT too late for Penny and Laurie. So, if you're in Salem, stop by the shoppe and if you're lucky you'll be able to say hello to Salem's Queen and Princess! :}
